Six chosen for simulated Mars mission in Hawaii

Six scientists have been chosen to make up the crew of a simulated mission to Mars that will include living in isolation in a Hawaii lava field.

Researchers from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Cornell University chose the participants from more than 700 applications for the Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation mission, UH said in a statement.
