Rail work kicks off in Waipahu
Relocation of utility lines is expected to begin today as the city moves forward with work on its $5.3 billion rail transit system.
"The first thing we’re going to be doing is moving the gas line by Waipahu High School," Ishikawa said.
One lane along Farrington Highway in both directions from Waipahu Depot Road to the Kamehameha Highway Interchange will be closed Mondays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the next seven weeks.
Projected completion: March 2019.
