August 2008

From the Star-Bulletin:

In the fierce, enemy territory of a Castle, Punahou turned to Manti Te’o to turn the tide.

Te’o picked off a pass and returned it 46 yards for a crucial third-quarter touchdown as No. 1 Punahou pulled away for a 41-14 win over the Knights on a soggy, humid night.

Hey! Punahou is back to school and the traffic around campus during the school rush hour is starting to get … ____ (insert your own words).  But, what this means is that we are starting to plan our 25th reunion.  Drop in on our first planning session tomorrow, Wednesday, August 27 up at the Alumni House.  We’ll be starting at around 5:45 PM and this should be a short meeting.

See you there.

Steve

When Obama Goes Home to Hawaii

And surely the Obama campaign won’t mind some relaxed snapshots of the candidate partaking in typical summer vacation activities — body surfing, playing with his girls, eating ice cream — especially at a time when the GOP is doing their best to portray him as an aloof, out of touch celebrity more concerned with European crowds than average Americans.  (emphasis added)

OK…  ICE CREAM?!  Wha..?  Not shave ice?  And what about the caramel cuts?
